Get ready to ride! Prospect MAX begins Monday, Dec. 9.
Just like Troost MAX and Main MAX, Prospect MAX will offer frequent service. There will be upgraded MAX vehicles, and traffic signals along the route will give MAX priority to keep buses on schedule. Fewer stops will mean faster service.
We're making it easer to board the bus at several high ridership stops with new level boarding platforms. People using wheelchairs will be able to roll right on and the platforms will provide an even surface for people who might have difficulty with steps. And improved access doesn't end at the station. We've replaced and built more than 40,000 feet of sidewalk along the route.
The new Prospect MAX stations also include extra technology. Touchscreens will serve up schedules and real-time information, while free WiFi at the stations lets you go online with your own phone. That's in addition to the WiFi on every MAX vehicle.
Prospect MAX will travel from 75th Street to downtown. The 75th & Prospect Transit Center at Alphapointe will open Dec. 9, and the East Village Transit Center at 12th and Charlotte will open in 2020.
