Senior Director of Security is responsible for the security and public safety of all employees, riders and patrons of KCATA, including managing the security status, profile and equipment of the campus, transit facilities and assets of the Authority in Kansas and Missouri.

The Buyer is responsible for working with KCATA staff to assist in the development and implementation of bid documents and the subsequent contracts in purchases of services, materials, equipment and supplies to ensure compliance of Federal, State and KCATA Procurement Policy and Procedures. 

Bus Operators do so much more than drive — they’re the reliable, friendly face for KCATA riders, ensuring reliable and on-time passenger connections. Often our drivers are guides, providing trip and service information to navigate our amazing transit system and can be found assisting residents and visitors.

Perform all Class A Mechanic duties assigned by supervisor which shall consist of inspecting, removing, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, diagnosing trouble, and determining serviceability of all units wiring, etc. , on any combustion-propelled vehicles or any equipment used in maintenance and service of same, using special tools, instruments, and other machinery when required, and other related duties.
