Effective Date October 4

RideKC is making service changes to Routes 47 and 50 to improve schedule reliability, travel times and the overall rider experience.

Riders who use these routes should review the changes below and check their updated route information before traveling.

Proposed Route 50 Southbound Trip

50 - Brookside-Main

Southbound Route Change

The southbound routing of Route 50 will change to provide a more direct trip through the Country Club Plaza area.

Southbound buses will remain on Brookside Boulevard instead of entering the Plaza Transit Center loop. The new alignment reduces unnecessary travel time and congestion while maintaining service along the corridor.

This routing was successfully used during the 2026 World Cup bus bridge and demonstrated improved travel time and operational efficiency.

What riders should know:
  • The change applies to southbound Route 50.
  • Southbound buses will no longer enter the Plaza Transit Center loop.
  • Buses will remain on Brookside Boulevard through the area.
  • Northbound Route 50 service is not changing as part of this alignment update.

Schedule Changes

Route 47 has been retimed to improve on-time performance and schedule reliability.

Riders should review the updated timetable before traveling, as scheduled arrival and departure times may have changed.
