Union Station
Union Station was built in 1914. It was at its peak for passenger traffic towards the end of World War II, but a long decline led to the Station being closed in 1985. After being restored, Union Station reopened in 1999, and offered a number of public attractions and museums. It once again is an active train station with Amtrak service. Union Station includes a restaurants, several retail shops, permanent and rotating historic exhibits, a post office, a movie theater, meeting spaces, offices and more. It also houses Science City at Union Station.
