Guaranteed Ride Home provides commuters up to 2 free emergency rides per year (taxi or rideshare) when they use transit, carpool, or bike to work.

Severe Weather

RideKC provides severe weather alerts, service updates, and safety information during snow, ice, and extreme weather events.

RideKC Notify

Get RideKC service alerts by text, email, or voice message, including delays, reroutes, weather advisories, and schedule changes.

Mobile App / Transit App

Plan trips, track buses in real time, get ride alerts, and pay fares easily with RideKC’s official Transit app.

Holidays

Services Available

For national holidays, we operate schedules that vary depending on where you might be traveling.

Kansas City, Mo. bus routes provide service every day of the year. On New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor, Thanksgiving and Christmas, buses that travel major routes will operate the Sunday schedule.

Johnson County, Kan., bus routes provide:

No bus or Micro Transit service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
510 K-10 Connector will pause operations from May 15, 2026, through Aug. 23, 2026.
- At this time, the 510 K-10 Connector is scheduled to resume regular service on Aug. 24, 2026.

Wyandotte County, Kan., does not provide service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Independence, Mo., does not provide service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Whenever you need translation assistance, simply call one number. Our Regional Call Center can connect you to an interpreter who can translate bus schedule information and questions you may have in more than 100 different languages, everything from Spanish to Chinese to Vietnamese to Swahili. The call center can be reached at 816-221-0660. The interpretive service is available 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
