Buy Passes

COVID Update, January 2021: Fares are suspended on RideKC buses as a preventative message to reduce interaction among riders and bus operators. When fares resume, customers will be able to purchase fares in Transit. Fares are being changed on Freedom On-Demand, and effective Nov. 9, 2020, on 199 Micro Transit in KCK and 499 Micro Transit in Johnson County. See links for information on booking trips and paying fare through an app.

Many passes are availabe for purchase online. It's convenient and secure! We will ship passes to you at the address you specify within two business days. You should expect to receive your order within 5-7 business days.

Local bus service and Kansas express routes 519, 563, 569, 595, 596 - regular fare for most routes - $50 - Buy

31-Day passes are good for 31 days from the first use.

3-Day Pass 

Local bus service - regular fare for most routes - $8 - Buy
3-Day passes are good for 3 days from the first use.

10-Ride Pass

For routes in Johnson County and between Johnson County and downtown - $20.25 - Buy 
For K-10 Connector between Overland Park and Lawrence, Kan. - $27 - Buy

Summer Youth Pass

Available for youth in June, July and August and good only on KCATA routes - $12 - Buy


IndeBus accepts passes issued by KCATA. IndeBus also has 31-day passes available at the following locations. 31-Day Pass Regular Fare is sold at: Hy-Vee, City Hall, Price Chopper, Water Department, MCC College. 31-Day Pass Reduced Fare Passes is sold only at the following with I.D.: City Hall, Water Department, and MCC College.

Unified Government Transit accepts KCATA 31-day passes from KCATA.
