Seven Routes Add Service During World Cup

Routes Affected

Effective: June 7-July 11

Good news for daily RideKC customers and tourists visiting Kansas City for the upcoming World Cup action! Seven RideKC routes will be expanding service to support increased demand and to provide more frequent connections to the KC Streetcar. The KC Streetcar will be directly serving FanFest at Liberty Memorial.

This temporary increase in service will be effective Sunday, June 7, 2026, through Saturday, July 11, 2026. On July 12, service will revert to the schedule in place today.

Schedules will be updated online June 6.

This temporary service improvement is made possible by federal funding primarily designated for World Cup.

Fares Return June 1, 2026

Public transit throughout the region will begin charging fares June 1, 2026. This includes service provided by KCATA, Johnson County, and Unified Government Transit. The Kansas City Streetcar will remain fare-free.
