RideKC routes to change times, improve schedule reliability

(Kansas City, Mo. | Oct. 6, 2022) RideKC will make service changes starting Sunday, Oct. 9. Most of these changes are time adjustments to keep buses on schedule and improve service. RideKC’s 11 Northeast-Westside, 57 Wornall and 570 Blue Springs Express will have additional changes and improvements.

Other routes with changes are:

  • 101 State Ave.

  • 229 Boardwalk-KCI
  • 238 Meadowbrook

11 Northeast-Westside: The east end of the route will be Cambridge & Front Street, instead of Universal & Equitable, due to the closure of the Metropolitan Community College Business and Technology Campus. 11 will also have changes to times on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays, effective Oct. 9. 11 Northeast-Westside travels from KC’s Northeast, through downtown and the Westside, connecting to University of Kansas Medical Center and the West 39th Street restaurant and retail area.

57 Wornall: On weekdays and Saturdays, buses on 57 Wornall will run every 45 minutes instead of every 60 minutes. Service will begin at 5 a.m. and the last trip will begin at 7:15 p.m., on both northbound and southbound trips. All weekday and Saturday times change. 57 Wornall serves the Martin City area to Waldo, connecting to Main MAX and other regional routes at the 74th Terr. & Broadway, near 75th & Wornall.

570 Blue Springs Express: 570 will offer two westbound trips in the morning and two eastbound trips in the afternoon, effective Oct. 10. 570 offers express service on weekdays between Park-and-Rides in Blue Springs, Mo., the Blue Ridge Crossing area, and downtown Kansas City, Mo., including East Village Transit Center, the Government District, Crown Center and the IRS offices.
