Thanksgiving Transit Service In Kansas City Area
Area transit providers will observe the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28.
RideKC routes operated by KCATA will use Sunday/Holiday schedules on Thanksgiving. The Regional Call Center, administrative offices and East Village Transit Center Lobby will be closed. Reservations for RideKC Freedom paratransit can be made from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and paratransit service will be provided in eligible areas. RideKC Freedom On-Demand will offer service, although it may be limited with longer wait times due to the holiday. Regular weekday service resumes Friday, Nov. 29. The Regional Call Center will be open on Friday, Nov. 29.
KC Streetcar will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving. KC Streetcar will resume regular service hours on Friday.
RideKC routes and Micro Transit in Johnson County will not offer service on Thanksgiving. RideKC Freedom/SWIFT paratransit will not provide trips, and dispatch and the administrative offices will also be closed. Regular RideKC bus, Micro Transit and Freedom service resumes Friday, Nov. 29
