Oct. 18: Significant Reroutes for Marathon

Buses Reroute for Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 18

On Saturday, Oct. 18, RideKC will reroute buses throughout Kansas City for the Kansas City Marathon. Please see details below. Organizers expect thousands of runners to participate in the race that travels through the Plaza, Westport, midtown, Crossroads, downtown, Jazz District, Brookside and Waldo. For information about the marathon, visit www.sportkc.org/marathon. Street closures will begin at 5 a.m. and the race begins at 7 a.m. Streets will reopen, and buses will return to regular routes as the race clears the affected areas. 47th between Oak and Rockhill is the start and finish line; it will close Friday before the race and remain closed throughout the entire marathon.
 

Along with the reroutes, expect buses to be running behind schedule after the race.
