Independence Day Observed July 4 - Transit Service In Kansas City Area
Area transit providers will observe the Independence Day holiday on Thursday, July 4.
RideKC routes operated by KCATA will use Sunday/Holiday schedules on Thursday, July 4. Reservations for RideKC Freedom paratransit can be made from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and paratransit service will be provided in eligible areas. RideKC Freedom On-Demand will offer service, although it may be limited with longer wait times due to the holiday. On Tuesday, July 4, the administrative offices and the Regional Call Center will be closed. Regular weekday service operates on Friday, July 5.
KC Streetcar will operate 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3. On Tuesday, July 4, KC Streetcar observes the Independence Day holiday and will run a Holiday/Sunday schedule from 7 a.m. to 12 am. Kc Streetcar will operate 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, July 5, and 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 6.
RideKC routes in Johnson County will not offer service on Thursday, July 4. RideKC Freedom/SWIFT paratransit will not provide trips, and dispatch and the administrative offices will also be closed.
RideKC/Unified Government Transit routes in Wyandotte County will not offer service on July 4. RideKC Freedom (Dial-A-Ride) paratransit will not provide trips, and dispatch and the administrative offices will also be closed.
RideKC routes in Independence will not offer service on Thursday, July 4. Regular weekday service will run on Friday, July 5.
