Take Transit to the Celebration at the Station
On Sunday, May 25, from 6 a.m. until the end of the event, Main MAX, 27 27th Street and 47 Broadway will reroute near Union Station for Celebration at the Station. The free outdoor concert featuring the Kansas City Symphony starts at 8 p.m. between Union Station and Liberty Memorial. The fireworks display begins after the concert.
Main MAX and several other RideKC bus routes will get you close to Union Station. KC Streetcar serves Main from River Market to Union Station and will run until 1 a.m. on Sunday night.
Main MAX: Southbound buses will travel the regular route to 20th and Grand, go west on 20th, continue west on Southwest Blvd., and south on Broadway to resume the regular route.
Northbound buses travel the regular route to Pershing and West Pennway, continue north on West Pennway, go east on Southwest Blvd., continue east 20th St., and go north on Grand to resume the regular route.
27 27th Street: Regular route from SW Blvd. onto 20th St. continuing east on 20th St. to Grand, turn right on Grand to Pershing, then left (E) on Pershing to resume regular route.
Westbound buses will travel the regular route to Pershing & Grand, go north on Grand, west on 20th, continue west onto Southwest Boulevard to Summit, to 25th St., to SW Blvd, then east on SW Blvd. Take the layover at bus stop near SW Blvd & Summit.
47 Broadway: Eastbound buses will travel the regular route to 20th and Grand, go west on 20th, continue west on Southwest Boulevard, and south on Broadway to resume the regular route.
Westbound buses will travel the regular route to Pershing and West Pennway, continue north on West Pennway to SW Blvd., then east onto 20th St. to Grand, then north on Grand to resume the regular route.
