RideKC is anticipating dangerously low temperatures and winter weather beginning Friday, January 23, through Sunday January 25, and is preparing to mitigate impacts to transit operations.
Customers should expect delays as local crews work to clear streets. We encourage customers to dress warmly, listen to local newscasts for up-to-date information, and use the online tools to learn if their bus is delayed. The Regional Call Center, 816-221-0660, is open 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. weekdays.
Online, customers can get updates in the Bulletins section of RideKC.org and review the Snow Plan, which pinpoints several areas that experience difficult travel in snowy weather. RideKC Freedom, Freedom On-Demand, and RideKC Micro Transit also have a Weather Plan. Customers can cancel or reschedule RideKC Freedom trips by calling 816-842-9070.
