The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and RideKC Transit Partners are seeking interested riders to participate in a new council to help guide public transportation in the Kansas City area.
The RideKC Rider Advisory Council is made up of public transit users who are interested in helping KCATA and RideKC partners improve the rider experience. Applications are now available!
The RideKC Rider Advisory Council is intended to allow riders an opportunity to help the KCATA and RideKC partners to identify, and improve parts of the rider experience.
Some issues the RideKC Partners are interested in exploring with the Advisory Council include:
The RideKC Rider Advisory Council will meet on a bi-monthly basis, totaling six meetings a year. Meetings will be held both in person and virtually, with the in-person location being accessible by public transportation.
The first meeting will be held on February 19, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. At this meeting Advisory Councilmembers will select a chair and vice-chair to help facilitate meetings. Future meeting dates will also be set at this time.
The Advisory Council will be composed of 15 people who are either active riders, or are interested in using RideKC public transit. They will be selected from across the region, representing riders of all RideKC services and partners.
