RideKC Rider Advisory Council

The RideKC Rider Advisory Council is a new council to help guide public transportation in the Kansas City area.

The council is made up of public transit users who are interested in helping KCATA and RideKC partners improve the rider experience. 

About the Advisory Council:

The RideKC Rider Advisory Council is intended to allow riders an opportunity to help the KCATA and RideKC partners to identify, and improve parts of the rider experience.

Some issues the RideKC Partners are interested in exploring with the Advisory Council include:

  • Safety at stops and on the bus
  • Cleanliness of stops and vehicles
  • Overall customer satisfaction
  • Ease of system use
  • General areas of improvements
  • Accessing boarding locations
  • Community and rider engagement
  • Minor schedule adjustments to appropriately serve active stops

 

Meetings:

The RideKC Rider Advisory Council will meets on a bi-monthly basis, totaling six meetings a year. Meetings are held both in person and virtually, with the in-person location being accessible by public transportation.

Membership Criteria:

The Advisory Council is composed of 11 individuals who are either active riders, or are interested in using RideKC public transit. The council members come from across the region, representing riders of all RideKC services and partners.
