Learn About Upcoming Fare Changes and Payment Options
Good news for daily RideKC customers and tourists visiting Kansas City for the upcoming World Cup action! Seven RideKC routes will be expanding service to support increased demand and to provide more frequent connections to the KC Streetcar. The KC Streetcar will be directly serving FanFest at Liberty Memorial.
This temporary increase in service will be effective Sunday, June 7, 2026, through Saturday, July 11, 2026. On July 12, service will revert to the schedule in place today.
The following routes will be temporarily improved.
12 | 12th Street
Increase frequency and run until 2 a.m.
24 | Independence
Will run until 2 a.m.
31 | 31st Street
Will run until 2 a.m.
39 | 39th Street
Increase frequency and run until 2 a.m.
47 | Martin Luther King Jr.
Increase frequency and run until 2 a.m.
63 | 63rd Street
Increase frequency and run until 2 a.m.
201 | North Oak
Will run until 2 a.m.
This temporary service improvement is made possible by federal funding primarily designated for World Cup
Fares Return June 1, 2026
Public transit throughout the region will begin charging fares June 1, 2026. This includes service provided by KCATA, Johnson County, and Unified Government Transit. The Kansas City Streetcar will remain fare-free.
