Buses Rerouted for Picnic at National WWI Museum
Thursday, July 4, from noon until midnight, buses near Union Station will be rerouted for Stars and Stripes picnic at the National WWI Museum and Memorial Grounds. The public is welcome to begin picnicking on the south grounds of the Museum and Memorial as early as 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4. A fireworks display will begin around 9:40 p.m. free to the public. Main MAX: Southbound buses will travel the regular route to 20th and Grand, west on 20th St., onto Southwest Boulevard, and south on Broadway to resume the regular route. Northbound buses will travel the regular route to Pershing and West Pennway, east on Southwest Blvd., east on 20th St., and north on Grand to resume the regular route.
27 27th Street: Westbound buses will travel the regular route to Pershing and Grand, north on Grand, west on 20th, continuing west onto Southwest Blvd., and south on Broadway to lay over at 25th and Broadway. From the layover, eastbound buses will go west on 25th, north on Summit, east on Southwest Blvd., continue east onto 20th, south on Grand, and east on 22nd resume the regular route.
47 Broadway: Eastbound buses will travel the regular route to 20th & Grand, go west on 20th, continue west on Southwest Blvd., and south on Pershing to resume the regular route. Westbound buses will travel the regular route to Pershing & West Pennway, east on Southwest Blvd., east on 20th and north on Grand to resume the regular route.
