Main MAX detours to Broadway
Utility Construction Detours Main MAX
Effective Wednesday, June 30, Main MAX will detour for utility construction on Main Street. From 47th Street to 20th Street, Main MAX will use Broadway instead of Main and Grand. This reroute may remain in effect through 2022.
Northbound MAX trips from Waldo and Plaza Only trips will travel the regular route to 47th & Mill Creek Parkway, go north on Mill Creek Parkway, continue north on Broadway, east on Pershing, and north on Grand to resume the regular route.
Southbound trips to Waldo will travel the regular route to Pershing and Grand, go west on Pershing, south on West Pennway, continue south on Broadway to resume regular route at 47th.
Southbound trips to the Plaza Only will travel the regular route to Pershing and Grand, go west on Pershing, south on West Pennway, continue south on Broadway, west on 47th St., south on Wyandotte, east on north Ward Parkway, and north on Mill Creek Parkway to lay over.
Main MAX will serve the stops listed below. Main MAX will not serve other local RideKC bus stops along the detour.

- IRS (on Pershing near Broadway)
- 31st and Broadway
- Linwood and Broadway
- Armour and Broadway
- 39th and Broadway
- Westport Road and Broadway
- 43rd and Broadway
- St. Luke’s Hospital
