RideKC January 5 Winter Service: 9:30 p.m. Update

9:30 PM Update:

The following bus routes have had their service restored:

Main MAX

Troost MAX

Prospect MAX

18 Indiana

24 Independence

201 North Oak

229 Boardwalk-KCI

All others Routes currently remain out of service.

6 p.m. Update

Due to the heavy snowfall and drifting and mounding near bus stops and along routes, RideKC is suspending service for the next couple of hours to give snow plows a chance to catch up to this major event. We are hopeful that we will be able to restore service this evening. Check our social channels and ridekc.org for updates.

RideKC Freedom and IRIS Updates:

RideKC Freedom and IRIS have suspended service for today, Jan. 5. Service for RideKC Freedom and IRIS will resume on Monday, Jan. 6, 10 a.m. Customers should expect delays as roads work to be cleared of snow and ice.

Path of Travel Requirements

Clear Path Required: Customers must ensure that all paths of travel to and from the vehicle are cleared of snow and ice.

Driver Assistance: Drivers are unable to assist with snow or ice clearing.

Ride Refusal: Customers may be refused service if they cannot safely access the vehicle due to uncleared paths.
