On Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, KCATA and the regional RideKC transit partners have decided to suspend all regional RideKC transit service starting at 7 p.m. All trips that are in service at 7 p.m. will complete their trips. The decision is based on the forecasted ice storm creating hazardous road conditions.
Service on Thursday, Feb. 7, will be delayed until 8 a.m. This includes local and express service, as well as paratransit service.
Online, customers can get updates at www.RideKC.org and review the Snow Plan, which pinpoints several areas that experience difficult travel in snowy weather. RideKC also distributes notices about system-wide delays through Twitter. Customers can follow RideKC at www.twitter.com/RideKCTransitand www.facebook.com/RideKC. RideKC service operated by KCATA offers real-time bus information through WebWatch.
Customers can find their individual routes and see where buses are on a real-time map at http://ridekc.org/rider-guide/track-your-bus. The RideKC App is available for Apple and Android smartphones and can be downloaded at http://ridekc.org/fares/mobile-payment-app.
The Regional Call Center, 816-221-0660, is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
