KCATA Forums Seek Public Input

Date:February 17, 2016

Help Steer the Bus

(Kansas City, Mo. – Feb. 16, 2016) Starting this month, the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) will hold a series of forums giving the public a unique opportunity to speak out about bus service.

While the KCATA traditionally holds meetings whenever bus service is changed, these sessions are special because they will provide an opportunity for customers to voice their opinions about transit operations, including how routes are aligned, safety, stop locations and transit amenities. Everyone who attends a forum will be entered into a drawing for a 31-day pass. Here are the dates and locations for the first round of listening sessions in February and March:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 17, 5 to 7 p.m., Tony Aguirre Community Center, 2050 W. Pennway, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., RideKC bus, 10th & Main Transit Center, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. to noon, University of Missouri-Kansas City, Volker Campus, Student Union Coffee Stage, 51st Street & Cherry, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Wednesday, March 16, 5 to 7 p.m., Keystone United Methodist Church, 406 W. 74th Street, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Tuesday, March 22, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., RideKC bus, 12th Street & Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, Mo.
