Blizzard Delays RideKC Start Times

Commuter Express Routes Cancelled, Monday, Nov. 26, 2018

Kansas City, Mo. – All regional RideKC transit service, including buses, streetcar and paratransit, will start at 8 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 26, 2018, due to treacherous road conditions. All commuter express routes will be canceled tomorrow. The 8 a.m. start time includes service in Kansas City, Mo., Kansas City, Kansas, Independence, and Johnson County. RideKC Freedom will begin the day in Phase B, which means there may be a 60 minute delay. 

Customers should expect delays as crews work to clear routes. We encourage customers to dress warmly, listen to local newscasts for up-to-date information, and use the online tools to find out if their bus is delayed. The Regional Call Center will be open at 6 a.m. on Monday morning.

The safety of our riders and our employees is our top priority. Please use caution if you must travel on Monday.

Online, customers can get updates at www.RideKC.org and review the Snow Plan, which pinpoints several areas that experience difficult travel in snowy weather.
