The new four-story facility goes beyond affordable housing.  Mabion Project leaders have set out to not only provide stable homes for families in need, but also to further support residents on their way to securing additional vital resources such as healthcare, job training, and convenient access to public transportation.  This holistic approach is embodied throughout the project team and community partners both local and national.

A collection of support services combines to maximize resident success.  These services include direct case management for residents in need of transportation assistance, and job training; substance abuse and mental health services; access to licensed social workers and community health care professionals; and on-site skills building classes and recreational activities.  As a Transit-Oriented Community Development, the facility also connects residents to nearby Bus Rapid Transit, and additional transportation assistance.

  • 57 affordable housing units that offer living spaces for low-income families as well as families experiencing homelessness
  • Amenities include spaces that increase quality of life, as well as support services and counseling for residents
  • Residents have access to Bus Rapid Transit less than a block away (Troost MAX BRT line)
