RideKC’s extends free fares on the Prospect MAX line indefinitely.
Prospect MAX travels from 75th Street to downtown. The 75th & Prospect Transit Center at Alphapointe is now open, and the East Village Transit Center will open in 2020.
RideKC has decided to extend free fares indefinitely on the route. This is a continuation of the promotional fare that started when the route launched on December 9.
This promotional fare is valid only on Prospect MAX. Transfers will not be available to riders on Prospect MAX. Regular fares apply to 71 Prospect and all other connecting RideKC routes, including Troost MAX and Main MAX.
Paratransit trips within the corridor will be free. If you travel outside of the ¾-mile boundary, you will have to pay a fare.
For questions about free rides on Prospect MAX, call the Regional Call Center at (816) 221-0660 weekdays 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Prospect MAX offers frequent service, upgraded MAX vehicles, traffic signal priority and fewer stops for faster service. Level boarding at several high ridership stops will also help people get on and off the bus more easily and more quickly.
The new Prospect MAX stations include touchscreen technology and free WiFi while you wait for your MAX. And we’ve built and repaired more than 40,000 feet of sidewalks along the route.
