Micro Transit is flexible routing and scheduling using smaller vehicles within a designated area. The service only operates when there is a demand, making it more efficient and responsive to riders. Due to the relatively small service zone, this service is designed so the transit vehicle arrives within 15 minutes of a ride request. Riders can request a ride by using the app on their phone, by using the web, by calling or by flagging down a vehicle. Riders can travel anywhere in the Micro Transit zone and get door-to-door service.

The new Micro Transit system would begin January 2020 and expand current service, covering 10 square miles, including three additional square miles in Turner. Destinations include 47th Street Transit Center, Aldi, Santa Fe Industrial Area, Turner Recreation Commission, Skyline Apartments, Jones Bar-B-Q, Happy Foods West, Terrace Pointe Apartments, Cambridge at River Oaks Apartments and Amazon.

At the meetings, Unified Government Transit will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the service changes. Interested persons may also submit comments in writing to Unified Government Transit, Attention: Justus Welker, Director, 5033 State Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas 66102.
