Effective July 1, 596 3-Trails-Edgerton Express will no longer offer service. Due to low ridership and the end of grant funding for the route, 596 is being eliminated and the last day of service will be Saturday, June 29.
595 Gardner-OP Express will continue to provide service to Gardner and Edgerton from downtown Kansas City, Mo., and downtown, Kansas City, Kan.
In order to get from 3-Trails Transit Center in South Kansas City to Gardner and Edgerton, riders would need to transfer to the 595 Gardner-OP Express. This would take significantly more time. The options include taking Troost MAX to downtown Kansas City to transfer to 595. Another option is to take the 75 75th Street route to the Waldo MAX station (Broadway at 74th Terrace), and then transfer to the 475 Quivira-75th Street or the 495 95th Street, which both go to Oak Park Mall. Riders could catch the 595 at Oak Park Mall.
