RideKC Micro Transit in Johnson County is expanding its service area. RideKC Micro Transit is an affordable ride-hailing transportation option in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
UPDATE on Oct. 5: Fares for 499 remain suspended until Nov. 9.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, 499 Micro Transit will add the area north of Shawnee Mission Parkway to 47 Ave. and 47th Street, bordered on the west by Renner Road. To the southwest, 499 will add the area bounded by College Blvd. on the north, K-7 and Lone Elm/Parker on the west, 151st on the south, and Black Bob Rd. on the east. See map below for service area.
Destinations in the new service areas include many business centers, retail stores, restaurants, grocery stores and apartment complexes, such as shopping near Roe and 47th St., Merriam Town Center, Santa Rosa Shopping Center, MidAmerica Nazarene University, Olathe South High School, Olathe Drivers License Office, Johnson County Courthouse, Johnson County Administration Building, and Olathe Health Pavilion.
Service hours for 499 are Monday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, masks are required on all transit trips, including microtransit. Vehicles are limited to a maximum of two riders at a time to provide physical distancing, and wait times may increase. Fares for 499 remain suspended until Nov. 9.

Pay your Fare: Pay $1.50 per ride with in the Microtransit app or with exact cash in vehicle. (Fares resume Nov. 9 on 499 Micro Transit. Fares are currently suspended.)
