Beginning the week of August 17, work will begin on 47th Avenue between Mission Road and Rainbow Blvd. to restripe the street, install bike lanes, and provide concrete improvements at bus stops.
There are three eastbound bus stops on 47th Avenue served by the 107 7th Street-Parallel route that will be impacted. Existing stops at Mission Road (in front of Walmart Neighborhood Market) and at Belinder will be relocated slightly to the east of the existing locations. The stop at Adams will remain at its current location.
Because Mission and Belinder construction will occur at a different location than the existing stops, the Mission and Belinder stops will stay open during the concrete work. The stop at Adams will not be accessible during construction. Stops may be occasionally inaccessible during the striping of the street.
All three locations will have new concrete to improve accessibility for passengers. The concrete, striping, and signage are expected to be complete by mid-September.
