RideKC routes and Micro Transit in Johnson County, Kan., will change this year as part of several pilot programs to improve public transportation. 403 Antioch-Olathe and 404 Metcalf-Downtown expand July 25. See RideKC.org or printed bulletins on buses for changes to other local transit service in Johnson County.

These changes will improve the quality and level of service of transit in the county and make public transportation in Johnson County a more viable mode of travel for residents by offering more frequent, reliable service.

Changes to 403, 404 and 435

403 Antioch-Olathe becomes 403 Antioch-KU Med: 403 Antioch-KU Med will have a new alignment at County Line so riders can reach more destinations and make more connections to the regional transit network. 403 will run from the Walmart Supercenter on 135th St. in Olathe and KU Med in Kansas City, Kansas, via the JCCC and the Mission Transit Center. Downtown Kansas City, Mo., will no longer be served by 403, but can be reached via 404 which will also operate all day. At KU Med, riders can make connections to 11 Northeast-Westside, 39 39th Street, and 107 7th Street. On weekdays, 403 will expand hours and run from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. It will run hourly.

404 Metcalf-Downtown: 404 Metcalf-Downtown will change its route to serve the Mission Transit Center to meet other RideKC routes. 404 will serve Walmart Supercenter (instead of Rosana Square) at Metcalf and W. 119th Street and East Village Transit Center in downtown Kansas City, Mo., via the Mission Transit Center. In downtown Kansas City, Mo., buses will exit I-35 onto W. Pennway, go south on Broadway, east on Pershing Street, north on Grand, east on 18th Street and north on Oak. At 12th, 404 would travel east to the East Village Transit Center where transfers to other RideKC routes can be made. 404 will then travel west on 11th, and south to Pennsylvania Avenue to I-35. On weekdays, 404 will run from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
