RideKC routes and Micro Transit in Johnson County, Kan., will change this year as part of several pilot programs to improve public transportation. 401 Metcalf-Plaza will change on July 25. See RideKC.org or printed bulletins on buses for changes to other local transit service in Johnson County. These changes will improve the quality and level of service of transit in the county and make public transportation in Johnson County a more viable mode of travel for residents by offering more frequent, reliable service.
401 Metcalf-Plaza will operate between Johnson County Community College and the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Mo., via the Metcalf Avenue, W. 119th Street and the Mission Transit Center on all trips. 401 will not travel to Prairiefire. The route will no longer have flex capability during the midday. Micro Transit will continue to offer curb-to-curb service in this area. 401 connects to Main MAX and Troost MAX.
On weekdays, the route will continue to run from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. It will run every 60 minutes on weekdays.
