The new terminal at KCI will open Tuesday, Feb. 28. RideKC’s 229 Boardwalk-KCI will begin serving the new terminal at KCI on its opening day.
Buses will pick up and drop off passengers at the lower level for commercial vehicles, including parking shuttles and car rental shuttles. RideKC buses will board at sign post 2A. This stop will be on the east end of the lower level terminal pick-up and drop-off lane. This is the same level as the baggage claim at the new terminal. The stop is on the outside lane; there are crosswalks with traffic signals for pedestrian safety. Maps and timetables are updated in the "Maps & Schedules" section of our website.
From Feb. 28 until Saturday, April 1, buses will be scheduled to serve Kansas City International Airport at the current published times for “KCI Airport Terminal C.” 229 is currently on detour due to the closure of the Buck O’Neil Bridge. RideKC encourages you to use real-time tracking with Transit app in the event that your bus is delayed.
Starting Sunday, April 2, times for 229 Boardwalk-KCI will be adjusted to account for the new airport stop and the bridge detour. Bridge construction and the detour continue until late 2024. More information about the detour is available.
