101, 106 Detour for Viaduct Construction

Lewis and Clark Viaduct Closure Forces RideKC Reroutes

Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, a couple RideKC routes serving Wyandotte County will be temporarily changed when the westbound lanes of the Lewis and Clark Viaduct are closed for reconstruction. The closure by Kansas Department of Transportation is expected to last for two years. 

101 State Avenue: Westbound buses travel the regular route to 5th and Broadway, continue west on 5th Street, south on Beardsley, then west on Forrester onto Central Avenue, continue west on Central, then north on James, north on 3rd, west on Armstrong, north on 5th and west on Minnesota to continue the regular route.

Eastbound buses are not affected.

106 Quindaro: Eastbound buses travel the regular route to Ohio and James Street, continue south on James to Central, then north on Central onto Forrester, then north on Beardsley, east on 4th, north on Broadway and east on 3rd to resume the regular route.

Westbound buses travel the regular route to 4th and Broadway, west on 4th, south on Beardsley, west on Forrester onto Central Avenue, continue west on Central to James Street then north on James Street to resume regular route.
