Kansas City Area Transportation Authority

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is the bi-state regional transportation authority focused on improving the overall transit experience for customers throughout the metropolitan area. The creation of the Regional Transit Coordinating Council was one of the first milestones in positioning the organization to continue fulfilling the mission well into the future. Other initiatives include creation of the regional transit brand RideKC, regional fare strategy, expanding and improving regional paratransit and more coordinated transit funding strategies.
