Public Meetings Planned for Proposed Wyandotte County Transit Service Changes

Date:November 02, 2016

(Kansas City, Mo. – Nov. 2, 2016) – RideKC has scheduled three public meetings to discuss and receive input on proposed service modifications for two routes serving Wyandotte County: the 105-Rosedale and the 102-Central Avenue.

The 105-Rosedale route — running between 29th & Strong and 43rd & Booth — is being considered for elimination because of underperformance. Part of the 102-Central Avenue Route east of Central Avenue & Sixth Street into downtown Kansas City, Mo. also is being considered for elimination. The Unified Government plans to enhance its current segment of the 102-Central Avenue route in response to the reduction of rush-hour service east of Sixth & Central Avenue. Here are the dates and times for the upcoming meetings:

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9 in a RideKC bus parked at Seventh & Minnesota Transit Center.
  • 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9 in a RideKC bus parked at 29th & Strong in the Argentine Neighborhood.
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10 in a RideKC bus parked at the University of Kansas Medical stop at 3900 Rainbow Blvd.

Anyone who can’t attend the public meetings is invited to submit comments to metro@kcata.org or call 816-346-0300.
