(Kansas City, Mo. – Dec. 21, 2016) Area transit providers will observe the Christmas holiday on Monday, Dec. 26 and New Year’s Day holiday on Monday, Jan. 2. Johnson County RideKC routes will use a reduced schedule on Friday, Dec. 23.
On Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, as well as Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, RideKC transit will use Sunday/Holiday schedules. On Dec. 25 and Dec. 26, as well as Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, KC Streetcar will operate a Sunday schedule, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Johnson County, IndeBus and Unified Government Transit will not offer service Dec. 25-26 and Jan 1-2. The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority’s Regional Call Center, administrative offices and customer service lobby also will be closed to observe the holidays.
Regular weekday service will resume on Tuesday Dec. 27 and Jan. 3, for KCATA, KC Streetcar, Johnson County, IndeBus and Unified Government Transit.
Johnson County routes will offer reduced holiday schedules on Friday, Dec. 23. Schedule details with times for trips that will be provided are available at www.ridekc.org.
