The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority will hold several public meetings to discuss proposed service changes that would affect Kansas City, Mo., routes in October 2017.
Potentially affected routes are numerous and listed above.
The KCATA will offer details of the proposed changes, and provide an opportunity for customers to ask questions and comment on the changes. Draft schedules will be available at the meetings.
The following meeting times are intended to allow customers to review and comment on any proposal that might affect them. It is not necessary to attend the entire meeting or to be at the brief presentation to discuss the proposed changes. Each meeting will focus on the changes occurring near the location of the meeting. However, KCATA staff will be available to answer questions on any of the proposals.

Main Street MAX: The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority is seeking public input about a proposal that would move service to Grand Boulevard from Main Street downtown. The proposed route would travel along Grand Boulevard from 3rd Street in the River Market to Pershing & Grand. MAX service on Wyandotte between 16th and 12th Street would be eliminated. Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted for improved on-time performance.
Troost MAX: The southern end of route will move to Three Trails Transit Center at Bannister and Blue Ridge from Bannister and Drury. Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules will be adjusted because the route will be extended to the Three Trails Transit Center. Saturday and Sunday frequencies will be modified. Service along Marion Ridge, East 96th Place and Hillcrest Road will end because the Bannister and Drury Park and Ride lot will be closed.
23 23rd Street: Route modified for better connections to Kansas City Health Department and Truman Medical Center. Eastbound/westbound service to travel on Troost Avenue between 23rd and 25th Street and then on Charlotte and Holmes through Truman Medical Center. End of the westbound route to be determined.
25 Troost: Staff is soliciting passenger input on possible service changes.
28 Blue Ridge: Route moving to Blue Ridge Boulevard between 87th Street and Bannister Road to serve the new Three Trails Transit Center at Bannister and Blue Ridge. Weekday and Saturday schedules adjusted to improve on-time performance. Service to Holiday and Blue Ridge will now be provided by 75 75th Street route.
28X Blue Ridge Express: Route alignment modified for service to Three Trails Transit Center. Route will be renumbered to 29 Blue Ridge Limited consistent with system-wide renumbering plan. Stops along route will be modified to limited locations.
51 Ward Parkway: Route merging with 51X Ward Parkway Express and replacing the 75 75th Street route into Johnson County. South of Bannister Road, the route will replace the 51X Ward Parkway Express service to Minor and Oak where it will continue south on Minor and then west on 119th Street into Johnson County. The route then will turn north on Nall where will it follow the existing 75th Street route. An additional fourth trip will be added during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
51X Ward Parkway Express: Merged with 51 Ward Parkway.
57 Wornall: Will now operate between 74th Terrace and Broadway and 135th Street and State Line Road. North part of route between the Country Club Plaza and 74th Terrace & Broadway will be eliminated. The south part of the route will be lengthened to 135th Street and State Line Road from Minor and Oak.
75 75th Street: Service to Johnson County transferred to 51 Ward Parkway. Change should improve route on- time performance and reliability. Service to extend to Three Trails Transit Center at Bannister Road and Blue Ridge Boulevard. The route will replace 28 Blue Ridge service to Holiday and Blue Ridge via 87th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard.
99 South KC Flex: Route eliminated. Services shifted to 57 Wornall route with new weekday and weekend service between 74th Terrace & Broadway and 135th Street & State Line.
108 Indiana: Route will be renumbered to 18 Indiana.
129 Boardwalk-KCI: Route will be renumbered to 229 Boardwalk-KCI.
133 Vivion-Antioch: Route will be renumbered to 233 Vivion-Antioch.
136 Boardwalk-Antioch: Route will be renumbered to 234 Boardwalk-Antioch.
251 TMC-Lakewood: Route will be renumbered to 340 TMC-Lakewood.
15X Truman Road Express: Route will be renumbered to 16 Truman Road Limited. Some stops scheduled for elimination.
36X Gladstone Express: Route will be renumbered to 236 Gladstone Limited. Some stops scheduled for elimination.
37X North Broadway Express: Route will be renumbered to 237 North Broadway Limited. Some stops scheduled for elimination.
