RideKC will hold a series of workshops during the first week in December to explore ways for improving bus stops and pedestrian access at 75th Street and Metcalf Avenue, one of the busiest intersections in Overland Park. We are inviting riders and residents to attend any of the three meetings, which are scheduled from Tuesday, Dec. 5 through Thursday, Dec. 7 at Kansas Christian College, 7029 74th St. Here is the upcoming schedule:
Any improvements at 75th and Metcalf could benefit riders on three bus routes serving that intersection: 401 Metcalf-Plaza, 404 Metcalf-Downtown and 475 Quivira-75th Street. The three routes combined carry about 600 riders a day.
Any questions about the workshop? Contact Shawn Strate, planning manager for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, at 816-346-0349 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
